This thing appears even on default map, with default material file (terrain.shader) but only with my height map on terrain(/stone) texture.

I tried on default/original RTCW. Only I install your newest Bers@WolfSP (2016.10) and make simply height map to texture "stone/mxrock0b" and the same problem in map forest.

Try make height map on this texture and check in forest map.

I made heightMap "textures\stone\mxrock0b @ h.tga" (name without spaces),
materials not changed. Terrain rendered correctly.


Give me your heightMap image.

!!! This build is not last, I will upload new version today or tomorrow.


PS: using height maps for terrains is not good idea! I not recommend to do it. Just use normal maps.

With older version of Berserker there is no problem. I'll wait for new version.

3. Your file is a not height map ))))))

How you made this image?

4. Send me all textures (diffuse, specular, normals, heights) for this terrain.
And send me materials, if you changed it.

So I have older version of bers. To bad you change name type for height/local/specular because now I must rename all my textures (it's few hundreds).

I make this image by edit diffuse texture in photoshop. I don;t change materials

It is a special format for Cone Step Map parallax mapping, generated by HeightProc.exe

Heh, but your file is not height map )))

PS: I still wait your answer to question: which value of r_sunShadowMap32Bits (0 or 1) gives a bad shadows? Which videocard have you?

Why this is not a heightmap? It's working good before :D.

Sorry my mistake. Value 1 fix problem. Sometime before I changed this value to 0 for no reason XD With new Bers, appears this shadow bug but change to 1 fix the problem :) I have Radeon HD 7850
